this plugs beautifully into eric klinger's old “current concerns” theory of spontaneous thought: unresolved goals and emotionally live issues change which bits of your associative network are activated, so when cognition is allowed to free-associate, it disproportionately spits out material relevant to those concerns.

Just to clarify, I only log X 'reads' when they are relatively long & insightful, a full feed would be unfeasible for obvious reasons
